PGCE Student
The PGCE Student course is designed to provide
the best possible start for a new trainee teacher on thier
road to qualification. The course has been successfully running
since 2002 and has provided numerous trainee teachers an invaluable
insight into teaching and coaching. The course is designed
to be run as early in the trainees term as possible so that
the most can be gained from the team development side of the
course. Throughout the course trainees will sample all the
activity sessions that take place here however time will be
spent looking at the Health and Safety side of these sessions,
the background into there development and all the planning
and organising that is required for the sessions to run safetly
and legally. The trainees will also experience what it is
like to be incharge of a group and how to address a group
of students, many for the first time.

During the week the group will bond together through the team
development work that also takes place ensuring they work closly
together throughout the course of their qualification.
During the evening the trainees will get the unique chance to
see children taking part in actual sessions here at the centre
and the more pastorial side of teaching will be discussed.
This course is a unique opportunity to harness 25 years worth
of instructing skills to help and guide potential teachers just
beginning their career.
